Small signs of spring are emerging, buds on trees are getting plump, birds are singing, and the light has shifted from its winter silver blue to a softer purple. I'm getting my found nests out to hurry things along. The one in the picture belonged to a family of sparrows who stayed in a boxwood hedge one summer. I watched the young grow and fly away, that winter I took the old nest to remember them by.
