Two Worlds

Let me start out by saying that I love cotton still on its stem. This piece was a still life I set up during an art class, the cotton balls were provided by my teacher and I liked them so much that she gave them to me. The reason that I titled it "Two Worlds" was that the shell is very evocative of the ocean and the cotton of the field. They are a strange mix together, although I suppose one could see the shell as that of a snail. Another part that I think is a bit silly but like anyway is that the shell looks like it has grown long crooked legs. This one is going to be included in the exhibition that is coming up so I will be posting sale information on it later.
