I love placing small paintings on my bookshelves, I usually rotated them by season. I think it really refreshes the space. Its also a great solution for someone (like me) with limited wall space. Small paintings in general have the advantage of being easily moved to new locations without a lot of effort, so they can really enhance your home in many different ways.
