A Pear
A Seckel pear from an old, overburdened tree in my back yard. The deer, squirrels and I have been enjoying them immensely.
I tried something a bit different with this little piece, I did a light watercolor wash and then added a layer of color pencil. The texture and the lines of the pear's form are so well defined when using color pencil along side watercolor.
I seem to have started doing small paintings first thing in the morning, which will be a series called "Small Studies". I have already created the section in my shop. If you are interested in seeing them all together. Although right now there are only three!
